This Privacy Policy explains, in plain words, what personal data we collect when you visit or buy from pinkblossomcandles.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It is written with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.

What we collect

  • Order and contact details: your name, email, phone number, and billing and shipping address when you place an order, and the gift recipient's name, address and phone if you send a gift.
  • Order history: what you bought, when, and any messages you send us about an order.
  • Sign-up details: your email address if you join our list (for example through our 10% welcome offer).
  • Payment details: payments are handled by our payment partners. We do not see or store your full card or UPI details.
  • Browsing data: cookies, device and browser information, IP address and pages visited, used to run the site and understand how it is used.

Why we use it

  • To take, pack, ship and deliver your order, and to send you order and delivery updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
  • To answer your questions and handle replacement requests.
  • To send you offers and news about new candles, only if you have agreed to receive them. You can stop these at any time (see below).
  • To keep the site working, secure and free of fraud, and to improve our website and products.
  • To keep records we are required to keep by law, such as tax and accounting records.

We only collect what we need for these purposes, and we do not use your data for a new purpose without telling you first.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal data. We share only what is needed with service partners who help us run the store:

  • Shopify, which hosts our website and checkout.
  • Payment partners, such as Razorpay, who process your payment and may help fill in your checkout details.
  • Courier and logistics partners, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
  • Email, messaging and analytics tools (for example Gmail, WhatsApp, Google and Meta) that help us talk to you and understand how our site is used.

Some of these partners may store data on servers outside India. We may also share data if the law requires it.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to keep your cart, remember your preferences and understand traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site, such as the cart, may then not work properly.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires us to keep it (for example, tax and invoice records). After that, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

Keeping it safe

We use the security built into our platform and partners, such as encrypted (HTTPS) connections and limited staff access. No online service is 100% secure, but if a data breach ever affects your personal data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

  • See your data: ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with.
  • Correct or update it: ask us to fix anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete it: ask us to delete your data. We will delete it unless we must keep some of it by law (for example, invoices).
  • Stop marketing: click "unsubscribe" in any email, reply "unsubscribe", or message us on WhatsApp. Withdrawing is as easy as signing up, and it does not affect your past orders.
  • Nominate someone: you can name a person to use these rights for you if you are unable to.

Complaints (grievance contact)

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact our grievance team first at support@pinkblossomcandles.com (subject: "Privacy grievance") or +91-9337118080, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST. If you are still not satisfied after we respond, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place the order for you. We do not knowingly collect children's personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with the updated date at the top.
